Hello folks,
I will be using this blog until I get some form of website up and running which is in the plans. Just want to share some of the images I have been processing in my darkroom.
Here is my APUG website: http://www.apug.org/forums/portfolios.php?u=24018

A bit about me & photography,
I shoot only analogue photography, have been since I was in high school back in the late 70's. I drifted away from photography in the late 80's got back into it in the early 90's and out again by the late 90's and in late 2006 I started heavily back into it...more so than all other times combined & I believe that I am back to stay..... until I drop anyway. My interests during the fallout years drifted more towards playing and absorbing as much music as possible as I played in various folk rock style projects and collaborations with other musicians. I have a great passion towards both arts and try to express my creativity the best I can whichever one I am working on.

I try not to get too hung up in one format or style of photography. This is not always the best thing to do when you are trying to perfect a process , however it is what I choose to do to keep me interested. To capture my images, I shoot formats such as sub-mini, 135mm, medium, and large format (4 x 5 at the moment). They all have their purpose and time and I do appreciate what they can accomplish.

I am a member of APUG, Analogue Photographer Users Group. As a member I can access some of the most knowledgeable people in the world when it comes to alternative processes in analogue photography. http://www.apug.org/forums/home.php

I am a member of the North Side Arts Collective here in Minneapolis. http://www.nacarts.org/

I have had two shows since I made my decision to have the public view my photos in August 2008. The last showing was at the Minneapolis Foundation in the IDS building in downtown Minneapolis. Three judges chose the images to hang there two of which were mine. The judges consisted of the curator from the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis as well as two other prominent people in the local art scene. I have my biggest show to date which will be in St. Paul MN at the St. Paul Art Crawl , April 24th,25th & 26th 2009. http://www.stpaulartcrawl.org/ and my information here: https://www.quickbase.com/db/7c7f3bjh?a=dr&r=bg7&rl=bsg9
I am working feverishly trying to get my images printed and framed. I have a 1000 sq ft room to fill....YIKES.
My wife Dawn & my daughter Christina have been extremely patient and supportive of my work, I am grateful for that and love them dearly.

I have another show lined up in April 2010 at Homewood Studios in Minneapolis, here: http://www.homewoodstudios.com/

Please feel free to contact me if any of these photos interest you. Keep in mind that these are only scans of the actual prints. The prints are far more vibrant and detailed.

Thanks for looking.
Steve
